Day 1
Arrival / Joining at BagDogra International Airport. Meet and Greet our Local representative and transfer to Kalimpong. Kalimpong district is a district in the state of West Bengal, India. Originally known as Dalingkot tehsil. In 2017, it was carved out as a separate district to become the 21st district of West Bengal. Situated at an altitude of 1300 metres on the eastern part of Darjeeling Himalayas, the Kalimpong district was formed on 14 February 2017, after splitting from the Darjeeling district as the 21st district of West Bengal. This Morning after Breakfast Visit the Sightseeing of Kalimpong, Visit Mangal Dham Temple: Sprawling Hindu temple complex noted for its landscaped garden, ornate statues & colorful sanctuary. The place has a temple of Lord Krishna and other deities. The main temple hall is very big. Temple is on the first floor and on the ground floor, there is "Samadhi" of the Guruji of this sector. Deolo Hill: It is one of the two hills that the town of Kalimpong stands between. Kalimpong is situated on a ridge connecting the two hills, Durpin and Deolo. The hill is 1,704 metres (5,590 feet) and is the highest point of Kalimpong town. Dr. Graham’s Home: Dr. Graham's Homes was founded in 1900 by John Anderson Graham, a missionary of the Church of Scotland, who settled in Kalimpong and worked with the local community for several years during the turn of the 20th century. Durpin Dhara Hills: Durpin Dara means “binocular hill” in the local language. Durpin Dara is one of the two hills (dara in local language)(the other being Deolo Hill) connected by a ridge on which the town of Kalimpong stands. The hill is 1,372 metres (4,501 feet). One can indeed get a great view with a cool pair of binoculars. It is one of the two hills connected by a ridge on which the town of Kalimpong stands. Flower Nursery: Enroute Visit Pine View Nursery is a cactus nursery situated on a side of a narrow road in Kalimpong. Later proceed to Gangtok is the beautiful Capital City of Sikkim. Gangtok is the capital of the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim. Established as a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the 1840s, the city became capital of an independent monarchy after British rule ended, but joined India in 1975. Today, it remains a Tibetan Buddhist centre & a base for hikers organizing permits & transport for treks through Sikkim’s Himalayan mountain ranges. On arrival Check-In to the Hotel. Gangtok – Tsomgo Lake – Baba Mandir – Gangtok (53 kms. / 3 Hrs One–Way)
This Morning after Breakfast, start for an excursion to Tsomgo lake: 2 Hrs. drive from Gangtok, Tsomgo Lake is also known as Tsongmo Lake or Changgu Lake, it is a glacial lake in the Sikkim, some 40 Kms from the capital Gangtok. Located at an elevation of 12,400 feet, the Tsomgo Lake is almost about 1 Km long & 15 Meters deep. The lake is considered sacred by the local residents; the Tsomgo Lake remains frozen during the winter season. The lake surface reflects different colours with change of seasons and is held in great reverence by the local Sikkimese people. Buddhist monks prognosticated after studying the changing colours of the lake. This is one of the few and awesome high altitude lakes in India. Further drive for 16 Kms for visiting the Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple (13,200 feet / 1 Hrs. drive from Tsomgo Lake), Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple is Memorial & Temple honoring Indian army soldier, folk hero & saint Baba Harbhajan Singh. Located between Nathula and Jelepla pass at an altitude of 13,200 feet & about 52 Kms from Gangtok, Evening back to the Hotel & Free Time at Leisure. Please Note: Documents for Tsomgo Lake & New Baba Mandir – 02 Passport Size Photo along with Photo Copy of Photo ID Proof (Passport or Driving License or Voter ID (Pan Card & Aadhar Card is not accepted). For Children below 18 years: if Passport is not Available then Please provide Birth Certificate / School Id / College ID are must. Original needs to carry while travelling.
In case of Land Slide, if Tsomgo Lake is closed we will provide alternate sightseeing.
Guest may visit Nathula Pass on this day subject to Supplement cost and Permit.

This Morning after Breakfast at the Hotel, Proceed to Pelling. (6,300 feet / 140 kms. / 7- 8 Hrs). Visit Bon Jhakri Waterfalls: The Banjhakri Falls and Energy Park is a recreation centre and tourist attraction near Gangtok. The park's statuary and other displays document the Ban Jhakri, or traditional shamanic healer who worships spirits living in caves around the falls. Flower Exhibition Centre: A little below the Ridge Park is the Flower Exhibition Centre where you can find flowers from every part of Sikkim. Namgyal Institute of Tibetology: Namgyal Institute of Tibetology is a Tibet museum in Gangtok, Sikkim, India, named after the 11th Chogyal of Sikkim, Sir Tashi Namgyal. Do Drul Chorten: Do-drul Chorten is a stupa in Gangtok in the Indian state of Sikkim. The stupa was built by Trulshik Rinpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism in 1945. Inside this stupa is a complete set of Dorjee Phurba, Kangyur and other religious objects. Around the stupa are 108 Mani Lhakor or prayer wheels. On arrival at Pelling. Pelling is a small town in Sikkim, at the foothills of Mount Khangchendzonga. The late-17th-century Buddhist Sanga Choling Monastery has mountain views. Pelling, a beautiful petite town sited at a height of 6800ft was initially covered with wild thick forest which served as home to many indigenous wild animals. It is a popular destination thanks to its natural scenic beauty and rich cultural heritage. From exploring natural wonders like lakes and waterfalls, engaging in shopping, to unveiling the secrets of historical ruins, there are tonnes of things to do in Pelling. Rimbi Rock Garden: Rimbi rock Garden is one of the few good places in Pelling to visit. It’s a very calm place by the Rimbi River. Later Visit The Pemayangtse Monastery, The Pemayangtse Monastery is a Buddhist monastery in Pemayangtse, near Pelling in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim, located 110 km west of Gangtok. Planned, designed and founded by Lama Lhatsun Chempo in 1647, it is one of the oldest and premier monasteries of Sikkim, also the most famous in Sikkim. Later Enjoy Khangchendzonga Waterfall: It is a tourist hotspot offering an awe inspiring view of its gushing chilled water enthusiastically splattering through the rich green vegetation; amidst the jagged surface of the hill. Khecheopalri Lake: known as Kha-Chot-Palri, is a lake located near Khecheopalri village, Khecheopalri Lake is part of lot of Buddhist & Hindu religious folklore. Hindus believe that lord Shiva visited this lake & meditated hear. The lake is a government protected lake due to its religious significance. Khecheopalri Lake is also believed to be a wish fulfilling lake. Pemayangtse Monestary: The Pemayangtse Monastery is a Buddhist monastery in Pemayangtse, near Pelling in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim, located 110 km west of Gangtok. Planned, designed and founded by Lama Lhatsun Chempo in 1647, it is one of the oldest and premier monasteries of Sikkim. Rabdentse Ruins: Rabdentse was the second capital of the former kingdom of Sikkim from 1670 to 1814. The capital city was destroyed by the invading Gurkha army & only the ruins of the palace & the Chortens are seen here now. New Helipad Ground, Pelling has a helipad ground though there is no regular air service. Sky-Walk (Optional): The Glass Skywalk is India’s first ever skywalk, set in the picturesque town of Pelling in Northeast Sikkim. Built at an astounding height of 7200 feet, this colossal structure allows tourists to look down several thousand feet in the air, from the peak to the very bottom of mountains. This Morning after Breakfast, Proceed for Darjeeling. Enroute via Namchi: Namchi is a city and the administrative headquarter of the Namchi district in the Indian state of Sikkim. The appellation Namchi means Sky High in Sikkimese. Visit Chardham Temple of Namchi: Sprawling temple complex featuring multiple towers & a giant statue of Lord Shiva. This is very Beautiful temples Complex with many beautiful temples. It is Replica of Chardham Yatra. It lies the marvelous temple compound of Char Dham locked away by spectacular mountains. to Darjeeling (6,950 feet) Darjeeling is a town in India's West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. This Early Morning at 4:00 AM Visit Tiger Hill (Subject to Availability of Permit & Token) at Tiger Hill enjoy the Sunrise (Subject to Clear Weather) and on the Return visit Batasia loop: A Gorkha war Memorial, Batasia loop is the Scenic point known for its unique uphill train track, plus gardens & a monument to Indian soldiers. Later visit Ghoom Monastery: Old Ghoom Monastery is the popular name of Yiga Choeling. The monastery belongs to the Gelukpa or the Yellow Hat sect and is known for its 15 feet (4.6 m)-high statue of the Maitreya Buddha. The external structure of the building was established in 1850 by the Mongolian astrologer and monk Sokpo Sherab Gyatso, who was head of the monastery until 1905. Later return back to the Hotel. After breakfast, proceed for Local sightseeing will cover Peace Pagoda (Japanese Temple): Peace Pagoda (Japanese Temple), Peace Pagoda, Darjeeling or Darjeeling Peace Pagoda is one of the Peace Pagodas designed to provide a focus for people of all races and creeds to help unite them in their search for world peace. Traditional Japanese-style Buddhist temple & multi-level pagoda offering commanding mountain views. Tibetan Refugee Camp (Sunday Closed): Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre in Darjeeling, is a rehabilitation center for the Tibetan refugees in the Darjeeling Himalayan hill region. It was established on 2 October 1959, after they followed Dalai Lama and escaped from Tibet. The production of Tibetan handicraft is the centre's main activity. Gombu Rock: Gombu rocks are situated on Lebong Cart Road and face opposite to Tenzing Rock. Tenzing Rock: Tenzing Rock is a gigantic natural rock in Darjeeling named after Tenzing Norgay. It was learnt that Tenzing himself used to practice climbing on this rock. Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute was established in Darjeeling, India on 4 November 1954 to encourage mountaineering as an organized sport in India. P.N. Zoological Park (closed on Thursdays), Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park is a 67.56-acre zoo in the town of Darjeeling in West Bengal. The zoo was opened in 1958. Zoo has an average elevation of 7,000 feet, is the largest high altitude zoo in India. Tea Garden (outer view). Later return at the Hotel and free time at Leisure.
