Gangtok, Darjeeling and Pelling Tour Itinerary

Day 1
On Arrival at Bagdogra Airport. Meet and Greet our Local representative and transfer to Gangtok (5,500 Feet). Gangtok is the beautiful Capital City of Sikkim. Gangtok is the capital of the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim. Established as a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the 1840s, the city became capital of an independent monarchy after British rule ended, but joined India in 1975. Today, it remains a Tibetan Buddhist Centre & a base for hikers organizing permits & transport for treks through Sikkim’s Himalayan mountain ranges. Check-In to the Hotel. Relax or Free time at Leisure.

Day 2
This Morning after Breakfast, start for an excursion to Tsomgo lake: (2 Hrs.drive from Gangtok), Tsomgo Lake is also known as Tsongmo Lake or Changgu Lake, it is a glacial lake in the Sikkim, some 35 Kms from the Gangtok. Located at an elevation of 12,400 feet, the Tsomgo Lake is almost about 1 Km long & 15 Meters deep. The lake is considered sacred by the local residents; the Tsomgo Lake remains frozen during the winter season. Further drive for 16 Kms for visiting the Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple: (13,200 feet / 1 Hrs. drive from Tsomgo Lake), Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple is Memorial & Temple honoring Indian army soldier, folk hero & saint Baba Harbhajan Singh. Located between Nathula and Jelepla pass at an altitude of 13,200 feet & about 50 Kms from Gangtok, Evening return at the Hotel & Free Time at Leisure.

Day 3
This Morning after Breakfast at the Hotel, Proceed to Lachung. (8,610 feet). Lachung Lachung is a mountain village close to the Tibetan border, in Sikkim. It's divided by the Lachung River. The village is home to the 19th-century Buddhist Lachung Monastery, surrounded by apple orchards. Nearby, the Yumthang Valley's Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary protects many species of rhododendron. The valley is also known for its waterfalls, pine forests & hot springs. Enroute visit Shinghik View Point: Singhik View Point is known for offering an all-encompassing views of the high mountains, including Mount Kanchenjunga and other neighbouring spots. The point where the Rivers Teesta & Kanaka meet is found just underneath this vantage point. Naga Falls: Naga falls is one of the longest and the scenic waterfalls with very clean and ice-cold water. It is a multi-tiered waterfall. The main fall is quite far from the main road so one needs to trek on a rocky path to get the view. The place offer panoramic view of snow-caped mountains all around. Bheema Falls: Bhim Nala Falls is a gorgeous waterfalls situated at Khedum village near Lachung. This is one of the tallest waterfalls in Sikkim & among the popular places to visit in Lachung. Located on Chungthang - Lachung road, Bhim Nala Waterfalls is also called Amitabh Bachchan falls due to its height. The water is falling from very high mountain and it looks like a three stage waterfall. The sound of water dropping can hear from far off. Twin Fall: Water gushing from one side in a funnel sort of way & on the other side covering the rocks almost 30-40 feet wide. This is the largest waterfall in Sikkim. Water splashes out from granite rocks in plumes of white in Kanchendzonga waterfalls. The sound produced in this voluminous and swift waterfall engulfs all surrounding noises. This Morning after Breakfast at the Hotel, Proceed to Yamthang Valley. The Yumthang Valley or Sikkim Valley is Known as “Valley of Flowers”. It is a nature sanctuary with river, hot springs, yaks and grazing pasture on rolling meadows surrounded by the Himalayan mountains in the Sikkim. Later in the Afternoon Proceed Gangtok. Check-In to the Hotel & Free Time at Leisure.

Day 5
This Morning after Breakfast at the Hotel, Proceed for Gangtok City Tour Covering Bonjhakri water Falls: The Banjhakri Falls and Energy Park is a recreation centre and tourist attraction near Gangtok, in the state of Sikkim, India. The park's statuary and other displays document the Ban Jhakri, or traditional shamanic healer who worships spirits living in caves around the falls. Flower Show: Ridge Park is floral heaven. The latter is a flat stretch of road exactly above Gangtok Town and if you’re into floriculture, an hour or two will pass by in the blink of an eye. Sikkim’s weather conditions are conducive to orchid cultivation and you will lose count of the number of varieties you spot at Ridge Park. A gazebo for travellers to rest while walking this stretch is a great addition for those simply wanting to get a feel of Gangtok. Handicraft Center: The Handicrafts and Handlooms Centre of Sikkim was established in the year 1957 as a Technical Institute for Training and Production of traditional arts and crafts. The main objective of the centre was to preserve the traditional arts and crafts of the state, encourage the peoples to participate and develop their skills through different up-gradation programmes, increase the opportunity for employment, generate income through Handloom and handicrafts sector and for national and international recognition for the handlooms and handicrafts of Sikkim. Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sunday): Namgyal Institute of Tibetology is a Tibet museum in Gangtok. It is named after the 11th Chogyal of Sikkim, Sir Tashi Namgyal. Do - Drul-Chorten: Do Drul Chorten is a stupa in Gangtok. The stupa was built by Trulshik Rinpoche, head of e Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism in 1945. This stupa is a complete set of Dorjee Phurba, Kangyur & other religious objects. Around the stupa are 108 Mani Lhakor or prayer wheels.
Later in the afternoon proceed to Pelling. (6,300 feet / 120 kms. / 5 Hrs). Pelling is a small town in Sikkim, at the foothills of Mount Khangchendzonga. The late-17th-century Buddhist Sanga Choling Monastery has mountain views. Check-In to the Hotel and Free Time at Leisure.

This Morning after Breakfast at the Hotel, Proceed for Pelling City Tour Covering Pemayangtse Monastery: The Pemayangtse Monastery is a Buddhist monastery in Pemayangtse, near Pelling in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim, located 110 km west of Gangtok. Planned, designed and founded by Lama Lhatsun Chempo in 1647, it is one of the oldest and premier monasteries of Sikkim, also the most famous in Sikkim. Palace of Rabdantse of Ruins: Rabdentse was the second capital of the former kingdom of Sikkim from 1670 to 1814. The capital city was destroyed by the invading Gurkha army & only the ruins of the palace & the Chortens are seen here now. New Helipad Ground, Pelling has a helipad ground though there is no regular air service. Rabdantse View Point: A few partially rebuilt wall stubs are all that remain of the palace complex at Rabdentse, which was Sikkim's royal capital from 1670 until it was sacked by Nepali forces in the 18th century. However, it's worth the 1km forest walk from the main car park to contemplate the fabulous viewpoint on which the ruins are located, best photographed between a trio of small, bare-stone stupas. Helipad Ground: Heliport in Pelling City. Later Drive to Darjeeling (7,000 feet). Darjeeling is a town in West Bengal, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. This Early Morning Visit Tiger Hill - Sunrise point (Subject to availibility of Permit & token) Tiger Hill has a panoramic view of Mount Everest and Mount Kanchenjunga together. At sunrise, the peaks of Kanchenjunga are illuminated before the sun is seen at lower elevations. Ghoom Monastery: Ghoom Monastery is the popular name of Yiga Choeling. The monastery belongs to the Gelukpa or the Yellow Hat sect and is known for its 15 feet (4.6 m)-high statue of the Maitreya Buddha. The external structure of the building was established in 1850 by the Mongolian astrologer and monk Sokpo Sherab Gyatso & Batasia Loop: A Gorkha war Memorial, Batasia loop is the Scenic point known for its unique uphill train track, plus gardens & a monument to Indian soldiers. Later return back to the Hotel. After breakfast at the Hotel, Proceed for Himalayan Mountaineering Institute: The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute was established in Darjeeling, India on 4 November 1954 to encourage mountaineering as an organized sport in India. P.N. Zoological Park (closed on Thursday): Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park is a 67.56-acre zoo in the town of Darjeeling in West Bengal. The zoo was opened in 1958. Zoo has an average elevation of 7,000 feet, is the largest high altitude zoo in India. Tenzing Rock: Tenzing Rock is a gigantic natural rock in Darjeeling named after Tenzing Norgay. It was learnt that Tenzing himself used to practice climbing on this rock. Tea Garden (outer view): Tea Estate Garden with Rows of vibrant tea bushes stretch across the landscape. Pace Pagoda (Japanese Temple): Peace Pagoda (Japanese Temple), Darjeeling Peace Pagoda is one of the Peace Pagodas designed to provide a focus for people of all races & creeds to help unite them in their search for world peace. Traditional Japanese-style Buddhist temple & multi-level pagoda offering commanding mountain views. Later return back to the Hotel & enjoy shopping in famous mall road by walking or Relax, Free at Leisure.

Payments Terms

  • PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
  • Booking amount ₹ 30,000/- Per Person to confirm the booking
  • Balance amount to be cleared 60 days prior to start date of the tour.
  • GST Extra as applicable.
  • Prevailing GST rate is at 5% / GST Rate @10% without Pan Card (If PAN CARD is not available / submitted) will be applicable Extra.
  • A new directive has been released by RBI regarding remittance process. It is now mandatory to submit PAN details of all passengers for all LRS (Liberalised Remittance Scheme) remittances irrespective of the value.
  • In case of any changes in the GST rate by government by travelling date, then the customers have to bear the difference of the same.
  • No name change allowed after booking.
  • Minimum booking amount is ₹25,000/- Per Person.
  • Booking Amount will be non-refundable once booked.
  • Vehicle are on Point to Point basis only, Guest has to pay the additional Charges for extra usage of the vehicle.
  • Any Deviation from the Itinerary, Guest has book the Transfer at their own Cost.
  • If the Group Tour Passengers are less than reserved Tour block, then the Booking may be re-arranged as per the Available passengers in the Group Tour. If the Guests are increased / Decreased, Tour cost may vary, all the Guest will have to bear the same & bound to pay.
  • As per health conditions requesting to please carry Medicines & Dry-Snacks Etc.
  • Please Read, Carry & follow the Valid Neem Voucher provide by Neem Holidays Private Limited, which will be issued 3 Days Prior to the Departure.
  • Tour Manager Service will only be provided if the Group size is of 20 Pax or above. For group with size of less than 20 Pax, driver-cum-guide will accompany you.
  • PAN Card is Mandatory at the time of booking aged 18 years and above.
  • Passport or Voter Id is Mandatory at the time of booking for every Guest travelling.
  • Validity of the Passport Should be 6 Months & above from date of Return Journey.
  • Universal standard check-in time is 14:00 Hrs & Check-Out time is 10:00 Hrs. All Hotel stays will strictly follow these timings & Guests needs to comply with the same.
  • Early Check-In and/or Late Check-Out will not be possible.
  • If tour get cancelled due to any Virus and Outbreaks, Covid or Similar or any Government restrictions then cancellation charges would be waived off and credit note will be given to be utilized in future.
  • Neem Holidays Private Limited in no way shall be responsible for Cancellation of Flights, Change of time for Flight / Trains / Bus / Ferry, Missing of Flight / Trains / Bus / Ferry, Any kind of Medical problems or Medical emergencies, Any kind of Loss, Loss due to injury or damage to person or property in connection with the Flight, Train, Bus, Ferry, Transportation, Hotels, Airports, Water, Marine Transport, caused by acts of strikes, Riots, War, Virus Outbreak, Covid or similar, Lock-Down, pilferage, breakdown of machinery, accidents, Political disturbances, Electricity Failures, Natural Calamities, Government Policies & Permissions, Force Majeure etc.
  • All the Sightseeing depends on all the Permits, weather & road condition, Land Slides, Permission from the government authorities.
  • Vehicles facilities are available only Up to parking. Guest has to walk or manage their transfer’s from parking to sightseeing Locations (if required).
  • Itinerary may subject to change as per Various Conditions, flight timings, weather Condition, Covid 19 Norms & SOP’s, availability of guide & entrance Tickets etc.
  • Any Cost during any type of Natural Calamities / Medical Emergencies / Changes in the tour had to be payable by guest on the Spot.
  • All Disputer are subject to Mumbai Jurdictions Only.
  • No refunds will be given for Unutilised / partially utilised services.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • But we actually don't want you to see this - We believe you deserve holidays..
  • Cancellation done by/ for/ due to:
  • Guest cancels the tour due to any personal reason:
  • After booking guest may have any personal reason like non sanction of leave, exam postponement, illness, family emergency etc. which leads to cancellation of their tour/ package.
  • Date of the cancellation request email sent by the guest (unless decision withheld or changed), will be considered as the date of cancellation and the cancellation charge will be applicable accordingly.
  • Considering the safety of the tourists, Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. is compelled to postpone/ reschedule the tour under force majeure situation or due to uncontrollable factors at the destination, however guest/s do not wish to continue and cancel the tour:
  • Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to cancel/ postpone/ re-schedule any tour under force majeure situation like natural calamity, epidemic, pandemic, terrorist activities, political unrest, curfews, local riots, government orders etc. or uncontrollable factors like airline operation/ schedule change, disruption due to political/ sports/ local/ VIP event etc. at the destination considering the safety of the tourists.
  • Under any such force majeure situation/ uncontrollable factors, no refund - fully or partially will be applicable. As refund is not applicable, guest will be required to choose the next possible future date of the same tour. If there is any price difference for the future tour, guests will have to pay the same before the tour departure.
  • To reschedule the tour in force majeure situation/ uncontrollable factors, Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. will send the request to all the concerned associates like airlines, hoteliers, transporters etc. for their cooperation and assistance in postponement of the services. In case these associates are not in a positon to consider the request, then actual cancellation charges may apply.
  • If guest wants to change the destination, then decision will depend on the cooperation of the associates like airlines, hoteliers, transporters etc. Such a decision will require time and will be given as early as possible. If the selected tour’s price is more, then guest will have to pay the difference before the tour departure. In case the tour price is less, then the remaining amount will be kept in a credit shell with Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd.. No refund is applicable for the credit shell.
  • Guest cancels the tour due to non-acceptance of change in itinerary/ service:
  • For the betterment of the itinerary or under unforeseen situation, Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to add/ delete/ exchange the sightseeing place/s or any other service and on this ground guest will not be able to withdraw from the tour.
  • In this case if the additional sightseeing or service requires extra charge then it will have to be paid by the guest.
  • If any guest is not willing to accept the said change, then guest will have to cancel the tour and cancellation charges as per the Cancellation Policy will be applicable.
  • Deemed Cancellation - Guest’s booking stands cancelled due to visa rejection/ delay:
  • Rejection/ delay of visa will lead to deemed cancellation and the booking will stand cancelled without any intimation or confirmation from the Guest.
  • Visa rejection date will be considered as the date of cancellation and the cancellation charge will be applicable accordingly.
  • Guest can re-apply by paying additional visa charges, however granting of visa is at the discretion of the respective Consulates and Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. will not be responsible for the same.
  • If visa is not granted even for the second time, the cancellation charge will be based on the date of the rejection of the second visa application.
  • If no intimation of visa (granted/ rejected) is received from the respective consulate/ embassy before the tour departure, then it is considered as deemed cancellation and cancellation charge will be applicable.
  • In case of ‘group booking’, if visa of an individual in a group is rejected or delayed and the rest of the group cancels the tour then cancellation charges as mentioned in the Cancellation Policy shall be applicable to the entire group.
  • When visa is received from consulate, it’s copy is sent to the guest via email by Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd., however sometimes consulates dispatch the passports directly to the guest’s residence. In both the cases it is the responsibility of the guest to check the visa sticker/visa copy and verify that the personal details and visa validity is accurate. Due to any incorrect details, if the immigration office does not allow the guest to leave or enter the country, then Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. will not be responsible for any refund / losses / consequences.
  • In certain cases, where air ticket/ visa is processed more than 91 days in advance, there along with regular tour cancellation charges, additional actual charges on account of air/visa fees will be applicable.
  • Deemed Cancellation - Guest’s booking stands cancelled due to the non-payment of partial/ full tour price:
  • Guest is required to pay full tour price at the time of booking/ 60 days/ 45 days prior to the tour departure date. If the payment is not received during the mentioned time frame, then Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to cancel the booking without any written notification from the guest and forfeit the paid amount.
  • In such case, Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd.’s cancellation notice date will be treated as the deemed cancellation date and cancellation charges will apply as per the Cancellation Policy.
  • Deemed Cancellation - Guest’s booking stands cancelled due to ‘No show’ or absence on Day 1 of the tour:
  • If any guest fails to join the tour on day one, it is termed as ‘No Show’ and will be treated as deemed cancellation and no refund will be applicable.
  • All services will stand cancelled and 100% cancellation charges will be applicable, unless the guest notifies Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. about joining the same tour later at their own expense.
  • Deemed Cancellation - Guest’s tour stands cancelled due to discontinuation from ongoing tour:
  • If Guest discontinues/ terminates the tour for any personal reason, it is termed as deemed cancellation and no refund will be applicable.
  • Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. team will assist the guest to book the required services, however all expenses for the same will have to be paid by the guest immediately in advance.
  • Single (Solo) Guest sharing a room with other guest, cancels the tour:
  • Single guest should ideally book on speciality tours such as Women's Special/ Seniors Special/ Adventure Special etc., where Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. guarantees a room partner and guest saves on the single occupancy charge.
  • If a single guest is travelling alone on a regular tour, then s/he will have to pay single occupancy charge. If s/he gets a room partner for the tour and shares the twin/ double room for all tour days, then the single occupancy charge will be refunded to the guest within 10 working days of tour completion.
  • In case of cancellation by one of the room sharing partners, no refund of single occupancy charge is applicable.
  • In all the above situations, the following cancellation charges will be applicable:
  • Cancellation received number of days prior to Tour Departure - Cancellation Fee applicable on Net Tour Price (per person)
  • D-01 to 30 - 100%
  • D-31 to 60 - 50%
  • D-61 to 90 - 25%
  • D-91 to 365 - Cancellation of the booking amount and the remaining amount as a credit note.
  • The above cancellation charges include various direct and indirect expenses incurred for preparation and operation of the tour.
  • Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. is not liable to give any details or bifurcation of the tour price or the cancellation charge.
  • Any refund payable to the guest as per the Cancellation Policy will be paid within 10 working days of receiving the final confirmation of cancellation request from the guest.
  • Cancellation of the tour by Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd.:
  • Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to cancel any group tour/ package due to any operational reason or inadequate participation of the guests required to operate a group tour. In such case, cancellation of tour shall be communicated to the guest on their registered email/ telephone/ sms.
  • Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. will not be liable to pay any interest on the tour amount paid by the guest.
  • Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. owes no responsibility for any additional expense related to any other arrangements made by the guest on their own.
  • A guest willing to take any other tour can do so in consultation with the respective Travel Advisor. Excess / short payment, if any for the new tour will be refunded/ collected, to/ from the guest.
  • Right of Admission and Termination:
  • Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to deny any booking or cancel the accepted booking of any guest without divulging any reason or giving any justification.
  • Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to terminate the tour of any guest while on tour if the guest does not follow the group tour decorum or misbehaves/ create nuisance to the co-passengers/ Tour Manager/ coach captain/ local citizens/ officials etc. Under such circumstance guest will have to make arrangements for their return travel on their own and no refund is applicable.
  • Transfer of Tour:
  • If guests wish to transfer their original tour to a new tour for any reason, then such transfer is treated as cancellation of the original tour and hence a fresh booking of the new tour has to be made. Cancellation charges will apply on the net tour price of the original tour. For the new tour, prevailing tour price and discounts will be applicable.
  • If guests wish to transfer the tour, they will have to communicate in writing to the Travel Advisor. Such requests will be accepted subject to availability.
  • Merging of Tours:
  • Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to merge two or multiple tours when there is inadequate participation of the guests in a single tour or for any operational reason. Seat allocation in the coach will happen as per the booking date priority of the merged tours.
  • Refund:
  • Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to determine the quantum of refund payable to the guest in case of cancellation, transfer or amendment of the tour. Refund is calculated on the basis of various factors such as the cancellation date, reduction in tour capacity, contractual agreement and cancellation policies of associates like airlines, hoteliers, transporters etc. The decision given by Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. on the quantum of refund according to the Cancellation Policy.
  • As per GOI regulations any refund from Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. for both, Indian or International tours will be paid only in Indian rupees by A/C payee cheque/ NEFT/RTGS, even if guest has made the tour payment partly or fully in foreign currency.
  • Refund is always processed in the name of the family head marked on the booking form or in case of ad-hoc/corporate group it may be in the name of the institution/company who has made the payment on behalf of the group.
  • Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. is not liable to pay any interest on the tour amount paid by the guest/s.
  • Convenience Charge for the payments made by Credit Card, Debit Card, Online Transfer etc., is non-refundable.
  • Tax Collected at Source (TCS) for international tours is non-refundable as it is deposited with the income tax department and recorded on guest’s registered PAN. TCS once paid cannot be reversed, however can be claimed by the guest while filing their annual Income Tax Returns.
  • In case of force majeure/ uncontrollable situation Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to levy non-refundable ‘tour transfer charge’ or ‘service charge’ for standalone service.
  • For FIT/Customized packages, Holiday Design Fee charged at the time of enquiry is non-refundable in case guests do not book the holiday with Neem Holidays Pvt. Ltd..
  • When tour price includes visa fee and if consulate/ VFS/ embassy procedure requires visa fee payment directly by the guest, then visa fee reduction will be given at the time of booking or will be refunded within 7 working days of submission of visa payment receipt by the guest.
  • When tour price includes visa fee and guest holds a valid visa for the tour, they are required to submit the visa copy at the time of booking to avail the reduction of the visa fee. In case of unforeseen circumstances if tour reschedules then guest will have to get the visa done according to the new schedule and bear the costs of the same.
